Team Based Consulting Project

A key feature of ESSAM is the group project which is completed
during the Summer School.
Participants are assigned to a multi-cultural project group
with the purpose of studying a strategic issue in a local
company, developing a feasible way forward, and presenting
a consultancy report.
The reports are subsequently evaluated and represent part
of the overall assessment of ESSAM. Prizes are awarded for
the best group projects.
Participants are divided into small cross-cultural groups
each with the task of writing and presenting a consultancy
report on a local company. The group project gives the participants
a unique opportunity to experience the internal as well as
the external situation of a company. Each group is expected
to: suggest strategies for further development of the company,
present proposals and suggest an implementation of the strategies
proposed.
The groups are invited to visit their allocated companies
on Tuesday 24 June to talk to the managers and obtain information
material on the companies. Every afternoon as well as the whole
Saturday and Monday of the second week the groups meet and work on the
project. All projects must be handed in by Tuesday 1st July
at 12.00 and presentations as well as the award ceremony for
the best group projects will take place on Friday 4th July.
