The ESSAM Mission
ESSAM began in 1987, years before most
business schools went international. Natually we are proud
of this, but we do not rely on the past - rather we make
sure our programme each year is updated and in line with the
latest developments within European business and management.
A hallmark of ESSAM is the highly inter-cultural learning
process. Participants encounter cultural and social differences
and to cope with these in a multi-cultural setting is a very
important aspect of the
process of developing managerial skills.
Real life cross-cultural experience, direct experience with
the management situation in Europe along with the invaluable
creation of lifelong networks and friendships are other significant
benefits from ESSAM.
In a dynamic globalized world, where companies are competing
worldwide, we believe that it is of utmost importance to be
able to communicate with people from other cultures. Effective
communication requires a solid background in terms of knowledge
about and experience with other people.
We believe that the optimal approach to enlarging your personal
capacities for understanding people is to be put in a situation
where you have to work
closely with them. This is important for employers and employees
alike.

We achieve exactly this close atmosphere by bringing
people together from all over the world and let them work
on real
projects in local companies.
We believe that accepting differences is the
first step towards an efficient working and social environment.
It may also prove to be an interesting beginning for a better
understanding of yourself and your own culture. And we promise
you that it will be a very enjoyable and challenging event.
