On behalf of this year’s
ESSAM team as well as the consortium it is a great pleasure to invite you to
participate in the 23rd European Summer School for Advanced
Management. You will enjoy it.
ESSAM is organised by a
consortium of nine outstanding business schools from around
the world.
The truly international
aspect of the Summer School is underlined by the
participants’ many different backgrounds, cultures and
countries.
In recent years business
life has undergone tremendous changes – also in relation to
the free flow of communication. No matter how extensive the
changes have been, and still are, individuals remain one of
the most essential cornerstones of our business network
across the world.
It
is therefore very important that people with diverse
cultural backgrounds are given the opportunity to meet and
share their working experiences. ESSAM offers such an
opportunity for professionals and MBA students to work
together and explore the future in an international
environment.

Participation
in the Summer School is very demanding. I hope, however,
that you will also be able to find time to see some of the
historical buildings and cultural attractions in the city of
Aarhus which is situated right in the middle of Denmark,
in the heart of Europe.
